Commenting the success of her university, Svetlana Donetskaya – Specialist in the sphere of rankings, Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics of NSU – noted the importance of the fact that NSU (which took part in THE video contest) was short-listed from the first attempt.

“I think our chances for victory are quite high. Everything now depends on whether the video about our university will be popular among students, teachers and all people interested in NSU,” Donetskaya said.

The video of Novosibirsk University in the format of a mini film talks about why the university is loved by its staff and students.

MIPT, which in turn took part in the video contest organized by THE for the first time, presented an animated film in which a student from Poland talks about why he had chosen Moscow’s Phystech.

The international video contest organized by Times Higher Education is intended to popularize the universities aiming at making it into the top 100 of THE Rating. Apart from the university – participants in the Project 5-100, the videos of the following universities have been short-listed: Flinders University (Australia), University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University (Canada).

Videos will be evaluated by the number of viewers and “likes” given by registered users. Results will be announced at the beginning of October.
