NUST MISiS in the Top 20 of a New Times Higher Education RankingJanuary 29, 2016
The National University of Science and Technology MISiS – a member of Project 10 – placed 19th in new Times Higher Education rating known as ‘The World’s Best Small Universities Ranking.’ Those qualifying must offer more than four areas of specialization and a wide spectrum of educational programs. NUST MISiS is the only Russian university in the ranking, which is headed by California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
“It is great news that Russia is represented by NUST MISiS in the World's Best Small Universities Ranking 2016. Alongside Caltech, it demonstrates the world-class offering available at smaller institutions, no matter their location,” said Phil Baty – Chief Editor of THE rankings.
“We have created a special system of interaction with students in NUST MISiS which helps us to see the potential of every student. Obviously, to be able to do this, we need to approach each student individually, but it allows us to involve our students in research, education and extracurricular activities to the maximum, which, in turn, helps them not only to get a great professional education, but also to realize their own projects under the leadership of best scientists and teachers,” said Alevtina Chernikova, MISiS Rector.
THE World’s Best Small Universities Ranking is the sixth international ranking which has listed NUST MISiS during the time that the university has participated in Project 5-100.
