Russian universities must get into the top 200 of international (by-subject) ratings in 2016February 12, 2016
The Public Statement of the goals and priorities of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for 2016 was presented at the meeting of the Public Council of the Ministry on 10 February 2016. Dmitry Livanov (Minister of Education and Science) named the promotion of Russian universities in the world university rankings as being among the Ministry’s major priorities for the current year.
According to the Statement, in 2016 it is imperative that at least seven universities reach the top 200 of the world (by-subject) rankings. The Minister emphasized that all efforts need to be focused on the Russian Academic Excellence Project and noted the positive dynamic of Project 5-100 over the past two years
