The university-participants in the Project 5-100 present their roadmapsOctober 25, 2013
On 25-26 October 2013 the International Trade Center in Moscow hosted a meeting of the Council for competitiveness enhancement of the leading Russian universities among the leading global research and education centers. At this meeting the university-winners presented their roadmaps to the members of the Council.
During the meeting, rectors from 15 Russian universities which were selected during the contest and obtained subsidies from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation presented their action plans (roadmaps) for implementation of competitiveness enhancement programs.
Earlier, Alexander Povalko (Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation) reminded the participants in the project that the financing of the roadmaps is intended for 1.5 years (including 2013), and that at the end of next year a new financing plan for the next cycle will be approved.
However, according to the Deputy Minister, in the future the amount of subsidies will depend on the decision of the Council for competitiveness enhancement of the leading Russian universities among the leading global research and education centers. “You all find yourselves in a competitive position”, Povalko advised the universities, and, continuing on, remarked “I want to point out that the amount of financing will depend on how persuasive you are with your roadmaps.”
