Registration for the 17th Seminar-Conference of Project 5-100 is opeAugust 17, 2016
Another Project 5-100 Seminar-Conference will take place in Novosibirsk State University on September 20-22. In the plenary session, host university’s best practices will be the focus of attention, as per tradition, with reports by NSU Rector Mikhail Fedoruk and his team.
First workshop day will open with a session on Australian experience where Natalia Konovalova, Russia and CIS Business Development Manager of Austrade (Australian Trade and Investment Commission) with the Australian Embassy in Moscow, and Douglas Hinchliffe, CEO and Dean of King’s Own Institute, will talk about Future Unlimited — the new brand of Australian international education. They will showcase country’s main universities and collaboration opportunities as well as international student marketing tools.
In the second plenary session, Zoya Zaytseva, QS Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and David Reggio, QS Global Head of Consulting, will provide a detailed analysis of the latest QS ranking of global universities, positions of Russian institutions and opportunities for growth.
Days 2 and 3 will see sessions, roundtables and trainings on such subjects as fundamental science for medicine, internationalization of higher education in the 21st century, photonics, international accreditation as a way of boosting competitiveness of Russian education programs, PR workshop, low-dimensional hybrid materials, development and administration of joint international education programs, scientific review preparation, evaluation of scientific research, development of industrial partnerships, student entrepreneurship, innovation performance monitoring, university talent pool for innovation management, universities in NTI, and report on implementation of unique university model methods. Day 3 will also include a long series of tours around NSU research and education centers.
Project 5-100 universities’ employees can register for the conference by using participant lists submitted by project offices (development program directorates) bypassing online registration. We are glad to see and invite members of other universities, experts and businessmen to take part in the event. Participation is free of charge, but online registration is required.
Quarterly Project 5-100 workshop conferences held since 2013 are the main Russian forum for discussion of a multitude of issues of strategic development, universities’ international competitiveness, challenges of transformation into world-class institutions. Over 900 leaders of Russian universities, Russian and foreign corporations took part in the previous workshop conference held in Moscow on June 6-8, 2016.
