Registration for Project 5-100 18th Seminar-conference starts todayOctober 21, 2016
The XVIII Seminar-conference of the Project 5-100 will be held at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology on November 9-11. In the opening plenary session, MIPT Rector Nikolay Kudryavtsev and his team will present the Institute’s best practices.
Trevor Barratt, Managing Director of TES Global, Duncan Ross, THE Data Analytics Director, Michael Caruana,THE Strategic Solutions Director, and Melanie Garcia, THE Brand Manager, will speak in the ensuing Times Higher Education plenary session. The session will focus on changes in ranking methodology, scores of Russian universities and analytical tools.
The first day of the event will also include a Science Slam – a scientific stand-up battle between researchers from 5-100 universities who will take 10 minutes each to present their research in a funny and educational manner.
The traditional 5-100 PR Workshop looking into the best university promotion cases and modern PR trends will be conducted during the second conference day. Scientific Communications Workshop with its master classes, discussions and a business simulation will further elaborate on these subjects.
International university ranking criteria, Russian universities’ real global positions, recognition of foreign diplomas, scientometrics, experience of advancement in international scientometric databases, recruitment of foreign faculty and challenges of e-recruitment of foreign students, innovation ecosystem inside and outside universities, MIPT Open Center presentation, technological entrepreneurship in universities, funding of innovative research and the role of universities in the NTI will be the key subjects of the conference.
We are inviting members of Project 5-100 participants and other universities, businesses and the expert community to participate in the conference-workshop. Participation is free of charge, prior online registration is required.
Quarterly Seminar-conferences of the Project 5-100 (held since 2013) are the main Russian forum for a broad range of issues of strategic development, enhancing international competitiveness and transformation into world-class universities. Over 400 leaders of Russian universities, domestic and foreign corporations took part in the previous seminar-conference in Novosibirsk on September 20-22.
