Primary focus:

Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University) is a center of excellence for medical education, research and healthcare in Russia. The University provides a full range of educational programs for the most talented students from all over the world.

Key activities:

  • training of healthcare professionals from Russia and abroad;
  • world-class fundamental and clinical research;
  • top-quality medical care;
  • global control of malaria and non-communicable diseases.

The University comprises 7 faculties, 144 departments, Institute of Professional Education, Branch Campus in Baku (Azerbaijan), 7 research institutes, 25 clinical centers for research and education, simulation center and virtual hospital Mentor Medicus, surgical skills center Praxi Medica, central scientific medical library, museum of the history of medicine, University clinical center with 22 diversified university hospitals for 3,000 beds.

Today about 2,200 international students from over 70 countries study at the University, including Malaysia, CPR, Syria, India, Vietnam, Israel, Brazil, CIS countries as well as Germany, USA, Great Britain, Haiti, Nepal, Maldives, etc.
