About

For almost 140 years, TSU has been producing Russia’s scientific and managerial elite, combining education and fundamental research. It has created an English-speaking environment, and now students, postgraduate students, and postdocs from 50 countries are studying at TSU. To enhance competitiveness, TSU has developed four Strategic Academic Units (StrAUs): interdisciplinary Master’s and postgraduate institutes supported by a broad Bachelor’s programme in which their projects are placed based on the integration of research (laboratories and Сentres of Excellence), innovation (innovation ecosystems) and education (management of educational programmes).

TSU has concluded more than 300 collaboration agreements with leading research, education, and hi-tech institutions and companies, among them Canadian Mountain Network, USA NEON and Arctic INTERACT, ATLAS (CERN), and UArctic. TSU is also the organizer of SecNet, a new international consortium created to understand and predict socially significant changes in Siberia in a global context.
